Rare showcase combining marquetry of rosewood, lemon, amaranth and mahogany in the Louis XIV taste.
This refined furniture opens with two glass doors presenting a magnificent veneer in rosewood frieze. A scalloped bronze molding surrounds the windows. The windows, of identical size, are separated by an elegant crosspiece. These slightly cut doors are decorated in relief with a scalloped bronze molding. These doors open with two brass hinges. In the center the cover is in bronze with a beautiful ribboned pattern.
The lock is in working order with its bronze key and its two discreet original bronze entries.
Inside, we discover three shelves resting on cleats, themselves adjustable on racks. The interior part of the doors, the sides and the bottom are treated with red satin ochre.
On each side of the facade, the uprights with cut sides are composed of three parts of rosewood and light and dark wood representing alternating flutes.
The upper part of the uprights is adorned with a large bronze fall representing a face surrounded by flowers.
The slightly protruding mahogany veneered base has a central bronze representing a shell and foliage and a macaroon on each of its sides. The projection of this base is covered with a scalloped bronze.
The upper part is underlined by moldings in finely chiseled and scalloped bronze. The slightly inclined pediment is composed of rosewood, lemon fillet and stained wood.
A superb white marble with subtle veins is placed on the top and highlighted by a bronze rod.
With its shimmering colors and the quality of its precious woods, this Louis XIV display case will delight you with its rich ornamentation and its ideal size.
