Interesting dressing table opening to two shutters, a mirror, a pull and two drawers. It stands on tapered legs with bronze sabots. The mirror is mounted on a drip tray. The mahogany is molded on all four sides.
This dressing table is stamped twice with R. LACROIX, one of the two used by Roger Vandercruse dit Lacroix (1728 - 1799) on the lower edge of the belt.

A brilliant craftsman, he worked alongside the Migeon, Oeben and Riesener families. This proximity led to brilliant commissions. His talent won him renown and serious customers, including the Comtesse de Provence, Madame Victoire and the Duc d'Orléans.
