Precious Louis XIV period Prie-Dieu in walnut with maple threads and blackened profiles, drawer under the shelf and base with folding door.
This is a precious jewel by a cabinetmaker active in Rome in the early 18th century.
The structure of the piece sees it supported by six finely defined, faceted and hollowed-out columns, with a parallelepiped base and capital.
The particularly clean and graceful lines suggest it was made for a high-class client.
The furniture is in excellent condition and has only been cleaned and polished.
