    Napoleon III furniture in burr amboyna and rosewood marquetry and veneer. This furniture features a central section with a door framed in burr amboyna veneer. The inner part of the frame features bronze quarter-round molding in the corners. An inlaid rosewood diamond background surrounds an oval black background featuring a light and stained wood plant composition depicting birds, musical instruments and arrows, surrounded by flowers and foliage. The door features a top and bottom lock in working order, and an original bronze keyhole and key. The interior is in mahogany. It features adjustable shelves on racks.
    The furniture is richly decorated in bronze. The upper part of the piece is decorated with large floral friezes and interlacing. The recessed pilaster jambs are adorned with beautiful bronze falls featuring caryatid faces. The base of the piece features a large chased bronze molding and rests on four brass-clad feet.
    The furniture is topped with gray-veined white Carrara marble, slightly recessed in a molding that runs around the perimeter of the piece.
