Small oak middle desk from the 1900s.
The mitered-frame front features a wide molding all around and a recessed panel of three tightly-jointed plank elements.
The recessed sides, with a single, seamless panel, also feature a mitered frame molding. Their upper parts feature a carved section depicting flowers and foliage.
The sloping top, fitted with a stop strip, lifts with brass hinges to reveal a small, practical and functional space.
The main storage area is fitted with a rack-mounted shelf that can be adjusted as required. An additional level can be added in our workshop on request. This space is accessed via a door with a frame and molding similar to the front. Its panel, fitted with a central joint, is composed of two symmetrical pieces of wood using the "developed" technique.
This opening is fitted with a working lock and original key.
The body of the desk rests on a wide plinth with a chamfered edge that surrounds the cabinet.
Its warm color and simplicity make this desk ideal for today's decor.
