This weekly chest is made from mahogany burl, known for its swirling grain patterns and highly prized in cabinetmaking.
It has a small drawer with a drop-out at the waist and another at the plinth, as well as six identical larger drawers.
Each is fitted with original, functional locks and brass escutcheons with a set of four keys.
The cabinet, which rests on sabot feet at the front, is topped with turquoise-blue marble with double evolution edging.
