Rare oratory or Prie Dieu cabinet in rosewood marquetry in amaranth frames. It opens with a lectern, a cupboard and a kneeler that moves in and out of the cabinet. Entirely veneered on oak, it is a Parisian production from the Louis XV period.

A fine piece of collector's furniture, one of those rare little pieces that make an authentic collection, a real 18th-century chateau backdrop for any bedroom.

In excellent condition, our piece of furniture has been restored with a pad varnish and refinished in the traditional way.
The rear crosspiece at the bottom will be replaced at a later date.

On request, we can have our upholsterer make a silk-upholstered cushion for more comfortable kneeling, which would fit into the space provided (the kneeler opens).
