Louis XV dressing table - Late 19th century

Charming Louis XV dressing table in natural wood opening on the top by a central leaf in rosewood veneer presenting a butterfly wing crimp surrounded by an ebony net and amaranth veneer. When opened, this flap reveals a rectangular mirror, the set can slide back and forth. On each side two leaves of identical design cover inlaid lids which can be lifted using tabs. Below, large lockers are present.
The main flap is closed with an original lock in working order with its key.
This piece of furniture has a moving front that opens with four drawers and a "writing" tablet. This zipper with its button is made up of a mahogany frame and red leather decorated with a golden sticker. Below, a drawer made of rosewood, surrounded by amaranth, has a butterfly wing frieze. This geometric decoration is found on each drawer of the front. On the right, the dressing table has two false drawers and a small drawer. On the left, a false drawer and two low drawers.
The sides of this dressing table have the same inlaid pattern as the rest of the furniture.
The whole rests on four rounded feet at the top and then with curved hump ending in brass shoes. A wide band of marquetry runs along each foot bringing finesse and refinement to this unique piece of furniture.
