Rare Panetière in Walnut, Louis Philippe period, opening by a small door with brass hinges and turning knob.
Its case with Claire-voie is composed of turned wooden columns, a design that favors the conservation of an element that is historically central to our diet: bread.
This regional piece of furniture, frequently found in Breton or Provencal houses in the 19th century, is topped with a Cornice cut in Doucine. The bottom is openwork, made of flat bars. This Panetière can rest on its four feet, cut out at the front, straight at the back. However, two iron hooks also allow it to be hung on the wall, a position initially favored to keep its contents out of reach of rodents.
