The front of this apothecary's counter features a double sliding glass door leading to a storage area with adjustable glass shelves, flanked by a mirror. The body below is panelled, and the fluted uprights are embellished with delicately carved scrolls. The ensemble is crowned by a gallery with turned bars, accompanied by a small platform bearing the number 17, once used to support a regule statuette.
The opposite side of the cabinet is lined with numerous compartmentalized drawers, some of them metal-clad, of varying dimensions and each fitted with a metal handle. Two large niches are also present. Antique and practical, this apothecary counter is ideal for organizing items while providing a work surface and storage space. It is a perfect example of the craftsmanship of cabinetmakers at the turn of the last century.
