Large Black Forest coat rack, with a bear clinging to a tree trunk at the bottom, at the top of which a cub is playing: the branches form the coat rack, with a mirror, and the tree trunk the umbrella stand with its tray.

Very fine Black Forest work, late 19th/early 20th century: the sculpture is of the highest quality (see the bear's fur), the patina is remarkable, the bears have glass eyes.

Some old restorations, some missing parts, cracks in the wood. Can be dismantled into 2 parts

Bear catalogued by Meiringer Holzschnitzerei A.-G.
