Rognon-shaped dressing table, in solid Walnut, in the taste of Louis XVI.
It is endowed in its center with an Oval Powder Cabinet with lateral feet carved in laurel wreaths ending in scrolls, and a central leafy foot. It is surrounded by its two flaps of the same shape but of smaller dimensions. The latter can be folded down, independently, to the desired degrees, because they are held in place by brass hinges. The three mirrors of this Triptych are cut obliquely on their peripheries. Their frames are embellished with beaded friezes on their edges and topped with generous knotted ribbons.
Its top is cut out of Bean and covered with an original fabric with a dominant Yellow and flowery motives, itself protected by a Glass with bevelled edge.
This Dressing table opens with a drawer assembled in 'Tails of Arondes', hidden in the belt of the piece of furniture. We owe this effect to the frieze carved in spirals of the entablature which continues on its front in an uninterrupted way.
The set rests on four cambered and molded feet, those of the front offering a plant decoration in the upper part. They are linked together by an openwork strut with protruding edges.
We will remember the Singularity of this Elegant Dressing Table, which could become THE Retro piece of a contemporary room.
