Elegant and rare Athenian forming a planter, fitted with a cylindrical, conical and cut-out belt, with a cedar veneer in the center surrounded by a lemon tree fillet and a rosewood frame. A large oval medallion with foliated frieze in gilded bronze surrounds an angel in relief in bronze with green patina. From this medallion leave rosary chains joining gilt bronze wolf heads ending in an acanthus leaf.
The upper part of this Athenian is composed of a large overflow molding in blackened wood, the edge of which is covered with a chiseled bronze strip. Above, an openwork bronze gallery surrounds a removable cover with cedar veneer surrounded by a net of lemon tree and rosewood. This one is equipped with two small elements turned in bronze allowing the opening. Inside, a zinc tray also removable.
The whole rests on three legs of rectangular section curved and slightly rounded on the front, ending in bronze clogs.
The legs are connected by a circular molded top dressed in a bronze frieze and garnished with a pinecone in the center.
Very refined, this Athenian will seduce you with its rich ornamentation and elegant shape.
