Charming Semainier of Louis XV style, whose top consists of a beautiful Aleppo marble in beige tones matching the shape of the furniture, embellished with a beak molding. This furniture is composed of 7 drawers of the same height with a curved front, in Amaranth veneer decorated with floral motifs in marquetry, and in oak for their bottoms and sides. They are each furnished with bronze handles, and a lock entrance of the same alloy: this one, original as the key that accompanies it, is in working condition. This property rests on quarter round legs veneered in horizontal amaranth, ending with a Louis XV "hump" foot with a bronze shoe. This base is harmoniously profiled with the low crosspiece in front, nicely curved and decorated in its belly part with a bronze representing a shell with foliage. The sides of this piece, made of the same wood, illustrate marvelously in their central part the butterfly wing veneer technique, underlined by an elegant cut all around.
Graceful and refined, this Louis XV weekender will delight you with the finesse of its ornamentation and the quality of the cabinet work it has received.
