    Elegant dresser type piece of furniture in ivory marquetry and ebony veneer, it opens on the front with a drawer and a leaf and receives a dark splashback with a mirror in its upper part, it is topped with a broken pediment crowned with vases in the shape of casolettes , the credenza and the uprights are supported on twisted columns highlighted with ivory fillets, the whole is decorated with decorations of grotesques, foliage, chimeras and putti, the leaves have engraved ivory plaques decorated with putti feeding a goat, playing of Pan's flute and picking grapes, the piece of furniture rests on top legs
    This refined piece of furniture is attributed to Giavani Battista Gatti, an Italian cabinetmaker specializing in ivory, ebony and tortoiseshell marquetry in the 19th century, the historicist movement gives pride of place to the techniques and motifs of the past, in Italy, the Renaissance is copied as a model of a golden age
