Small Louis XV period Lady's flat desk, in Marquetry and multiple woods.
The top is embellished with a generous decoration in Violet Wood and Light Wood, and with floral motifs. The rim of this table top is in Amaranth.
The moving belt of this Table Desk offers five drawers of identical depth, assembled with dovetails. The first one, in the center, is wider than the other four, distributed in pairs on either side. The fronts of these drawers are in Geometric Friezes in Cubes. These inlays, which are also found on the sides of the furniture, are underlined by nets of tinted wood forming frames, and giving the illusion of a composition with only three drawers. These drawers are provided with bronze locks and locks in working condition, all original. The cabinet comes with its three keys, which are current. Note that the top right drawer is partially compartmentalized.
The back side is decorated with a nice Chevron veneer, allowing to imagine this desk against a wall or in the middle of a room.
The set rests on four soberly curved legs, inlaid on the inside, and finished with Bronze Sabots.
The sides as well as the bottoms of the drawers are in Oak.
Finesse and Elegance are the charming assets of this Small Office, which offers a pleasant work space and favourable to the Escape.
