Sloping desk in Plum and Walnut, Louis XV - 18th century

Louis XV sloping desk with a flap composed of a central butterfly wing plum tree surrounded by a lemon fillet and a walnut surround.
This flap is fitted with a bronze entrance with original lock and key in working order, and is held open by two original iron hooked compasses to ensure stability.
The interior is trimmed in black leather with Louis XV central and gold vignette.
On the inside, on each side, two drawers are arranged in tiers. The solid wood is made of fruitwood and the front is inlaid with light wood fillets. The turned knobs are also in plum.
There is a large niche at the top and, in the center, we discover a cover that slides out.
The front of this small desk has a drawer on each side, with plum-wood frieze or joiner in the center surrounded by a lemon-wood fillet. The walnut surround is mitered.
Each drawer is pulled out by a brass knob.
In the center, we have a false drawer whose design is identical to the others, with a bronze entrance.
Above, we find the same design of work and wood with a bumper at the bottom.
This Louis XV sloping desk rests on four slightly arched legs ending in bronze falls. The legs are in solid walnut with plum wood edges.
