Rosewood and Violet wood desk, Louis XV style - 2nd half of the 19th century

Elegant middle desk with movement of Louis XV style, composed of a harmonious structure in Rosewood and Violetwood. The top is framed and has a border in Bois de Violette, sublimated by a bronze profile molding and spandrels with shells and volutes in each corner. Its original leather top, with a cold vignette on the edge, has slight marks of time, which give this piece of furniture an authentic character. The front of this desk, also decorated with a movement, opens with three drawers, whose interior, sides and bottom are in oak: the one in the center is decorated with an important bronze entrance with shell and foliage, while those at the ends are decorated with a bronze handle. These drawers are equipped with an original lock in working condition, as well as their key. The "back" side is also dressed with the same bronze ornaments, for aesthetics and balance, since the drawers are fake. This desk rests on four curved legs, decorated on the upper part with an important bronze fall, and on the lower part with a shoe of the same alloy. You will be charmed by the pleasant contrast of the Rosewood and Violetwood veneers, enhanced by the splendor and brilliance of the bronze fittings, which make this a magnificent piece of furniture.
