All-face rosewood veneer desk with a framed top with diagonal veneer and diamond marquetry in the center, separated by a lemon-tree fillet. The top is slightly curved and covered with a ribbed brass moulding. The front of the drawer is inlaid with lozenges surrounded by bronze scrollwork. The unit stands on slightly curved whiplash-shaped legs, with a wrought-bronze drop at the top and a shoe at the bottom.
