Mazarin' stepped desk in blond oak.
The top opens to 7 drawers with dovetailed knobs, framed by 4 detached columns with palm-shaped capitals, and flanked on either side by 2 shelves cut into a curved shape. The middle section features 2 niches stacked one on top of the other.
The lower part features 2 deep drawers with knobs on either side, all resting on 8 carved columns on shelves. The whole rests on 8 discreet, round, flat feet.
Period: Mid-19th century
