Maison Jansen, Louis XV style black lacquered flat desk

Circa 1940 -1950

Large and Superb Double-Sided Black Lacquered Flat Desk in the Louis XV Style, resting on Cambered Legs terminating in Gilded Bronze Sabots.

This Galbée-shaped desk opens with three belt drawers and three simulated drawers on the visitor's side. Its top is encircled by a Gilded Bronze Lingotière and trimmed with a Havana-colored Manufactured Leather Top. Black lacquered wood structure. Rich Gilded Bronze ornamentation such as Lingotière, Pull Handles, Drawer Frames and Sides, Chutes and Sabots.
