This mahogany piece of furniture includes in the lower part two boxes with 3 drawers of different heights.
These 6 drawers, 4 of which have original locks with threaded entries and fitted keys, are fitted with round brass cup knobs
The leg opening features a hinged mounted door with cut out recessed panel and an authentic working lock with entry and key.
These elements rest on a protruding molded base.
The desk cylinder has round brass knobs.
The belt offers a drawer with a knockout front allowing, once opened, to obtain clearance for sitting.
This drawer, equipped with an authentic lock with entry and key, reveals three hatches, mounted on hinges, with a miter-cut frame covered in green leather with gold vignette, and for the largest, a central motif.
In addition to offering three reserves, the central part allows, once raised, to form a desk thanks to a system on racks.
The interior is decorated, on each side, with 4 drawers in speckled maple with turned rosewood buttons and a paper reserve topped with 4 mail compartments.
The bookcase part of this piece of furniture, highlighted by an intermediate molding, consists of 2 doors, with rounded corners, flanked by windows with basket-handle interior moldings.
These doors include an original lock that is also functional with threaded entry and rear key.
The interior offers 3 adjustable shelves mounted on racks.
The cornice is made of ogee.
This cylinder desk/bookcase will please for its rarity and its many features.
