Louis XVI cylinder desk in solid Cuban mahogany for the legs, sides and drawers and veneer for the cylinder and top. Oak backs.
It opens with a cylinder, a shelf and three drawers on two rows.
The cylinder reveals a locker and 4 small drawers, 1 of which is compartmentalized.
The shelf is sheathed in antique leather, 37cm x 29cm. The worktop measures 93.5cm X 38cm, 74cm from the floor.
It rests on 4 fluted sheath legs terminating in bronze sabots. Fluted uprights.
Bronze escutcheons and pull knobs.

Stamped by Antoine NICOLAS received Master on September 3, 1765 - Parisian cabinetmaker, he had to retake his master's degree when he settled in Nantes - Marked by the Jurande de Nantes in 1777 or 1787.
