Louis XV sloping desk in rosewood veneer, resting on 4 arched legs.

It opens with a rosewood veneered flap in butterfly wings, revealing an interior composed of 5 drawers, two compartments and a sliding cover.

The writing part slightly set back from the base rests on 4 slightly concave crosspieces. The front crosspiece has two drawers.

    Beautiful ornamentation of gilded bronzes.

Work from the Louis XV period.

    Length: 81.5 cm
    Depth: 44 cm
    Height: 93 cm

Our desk is similar to the work of André Antoine Lardin, master cabinetmaker active from 1750. A desk similar in its construction, particularly in the structure of the furniture and in the cutting of the front crosspiece is reproduced in the last two photos.
