Very large Louis XV flat desk in rosewood and violet wood marquetry with chevron curling. A very rich ornamentation of gilded and chiseled bronzes on this desk as well as a tray ingot mold. Spandrels frame the ingot mold. A Napoleon III period desk mounted on an oak frame in the pure tradition of Faubourg furniture at the end of the 19th century. We notice particular care for the quality of the bronzes.
A fairly rare desk size in this quality. Desk in its original patina. The leather is also original.
