Important Commercial Office in Pitchpin – 1900

Large sales desk in solid pitch pine with a “customer” side composed of a large horizontal panel with a raised edge and groove, surrounded by a half-round, miter-cut molding. The uprights have cut sides and the sides also have a platform and surrounding moldings resting on a plinth whose top is grooved.
This base receives a large element, topped by an overhanging part with consoles at the ends and composed of several gradient elements, including the top at writing height.
The “professional” side is made up of a desk with a left part composed of two deep drawers with brass shell handles and above a cash drawer with original lock and key. The right part, for its part, consists of a storage space with a vertical separation. Between the two, a large open part allows you to sit comfortably at this desk.
The top of this piece of furniture is made up of a central element or desk, opening with key and original lock with 2 hooks in working order.
On the left part we have an opening which allowed us to put pieces and on each side of the piece of furniture, we have two movement consoles joining the tier.
This is made up of four drawers in the upper part which can be opened using a brass shell handle. Two of these drawers lock.
This entirely original piece of furniture has the characteristic honey color of Canadian pitch pine, known for its solidity and absence of woodworms.
Can be placed at will in a room, this commercial office with its generous dimensions and old-world charm will seduce you with its authenticity and warm color.
