Solid teak and mahogany Art Deco desk from Pondicherry, a former French trading post in India. The large top is in solid mahogany with a teak frame. On the right-hand side, in front, this desk has a sliding pull-out. The desk opens with 3 deep drawers, fitted with original bronze keys and escutcheons. The locks are in working order. To the left is a framed door with key and bronze entry. The back of the desk is lined with quarter-round corner shelves on each side.
