Napoleon III middle desk in ebonized pearwood and bronze ornaments and brass inlays, with a large drawer.
On the front, this large drawer has a perimeter of brass nets of different widths and a beautiful and large bronze entry highlighting the passage of the key. The original lock is in perfect working order. The interior of this dovetailed drawer is in mahogany veneer on oak.
On the whole belt, faces and sides, we find these entourages of brass nets of different sizes. They frame beautiful bronze ornamentations, applied. The bottom of the belt is embellished with a chiseled molding also highlighting the four angles with projections. This belt rests on four feet, the upper part of which is turned and accompanied by a collar. The rectangular section legs are sheathed and enhanced by embedded brass nets. In the lower part, a bronze carving surmounts a top foot. A spacer connecting the four legs is made up of four S-shaped elements meeting in the middle on a circular part decorated with a central bronze rosette. These elements have inlays of brass nets.
Finally, this piece of furniture is crowned with a top whose angles are projecting and the perimeter dressed in a large gadrooned bronze rod. On the outside, we find inlays of brass nets whose angles form a frame. In a second step, two brass nets of different sizes with miter cut. In the center, an important composition in chiseled brass inlays magnifies this Napoleon III desk.
