Grenoble chiffonière table. Louis XV period. Mid 18th century. Made of fine Alpine walnut, this table is embellished with rosewood and green intarsia-stained wood fillets on the top, drawer fronts and sides. It stands on four curved legs. The lower crosspieces and sides are discreetly curved. The top is curved on the front and encircled by a molded profile border on three sides. It features three drawers on the front, two of which are simulated, and a niche on the back. Finished using the waxed-filled technique.
