This small center table presents, on top, a composition of a jar, a fan, a rosary and inlaid plants on blackened pear wood. The perimeter is decorated with foliage, flowers, scrolls and a beadwork in various woods on a background of thuja burl with lemon tree fillet. Each corner, with a projection, is decorated with an oak leaf patch.
This tray, bordered by a chiseled brass molding decorated with interlacing, opens with two brass hinges and locks using an original and functional hook lock, with later Louis XVI key and entrance in bronze.
The interior offers a mirror, surrounded by scalloped bronze rods, and a drawer accompanied by a sliding element with three compartments.
The front of this drawer as well as the rest of the belt, which uses the same marquetry of scrolls, scrolls and plant elements, are also highlighted in the lower part by a chiseled bronze rod.
The uprights have an openwork pattern in bronze.
The whole rests on four fluted spindle feet with flanges.
This base is joined by a concave spacer with a brass pine cone in the center.
This small, meticulously crafted table is sure to attract attention with its rich ornamentation.
