This oblong, mahogany chiffonier table opens with three identical drawers, with massive, curved fronts, fitted with platinum pull rings and authentic, functional locks with later keys.
The drawers, assembled with dovetail joints, are separated by a board that covers the entire depth. These drawers feature solid oak interiors.
The uprights are slightly curved and project. They profile onto four turned, flanged legs, slightly larger at the bottom.
The base features a kidney-shaped intermediate shelf with a concave front, and ends in spindle-shaped turned legs with brass shoes and casters.
The sides and back are in vertical mahogany veneer.
The top of this piece is topped with a very attractive Carrara marble, surrounded by a brass openwork gallery, with a small rush on the front.
This completely authentic tambour table will appeal in particular for its dimensionality, making it, for example, an elegant bedside table or a very practical piece of occasional furniture.
