Solid mahogany and mahogany veneer chiffonière table. Parisian work, Louis XVI period, late 18th century. It opens with three drawers. Mahogany burl embellishes the drawer fronts and four vertical rectangular reserves that give rhythm to the table's "tambour" shape. The fluted legs are supported by connecting dice with reserves and end in spinning tops. They are adorned with ormolu rings and sabots. The top is in gray-veined white Carrara marble. It is encircled by a gilded bronze openwork gallery. A kidney-shaped marble crotch shelf completes the set. It is also surrounded by an openwork gilt bronze gallery. The three locks are original and functional, with one key. Recent pad varnish.
