Louis XVI / Directoire period chiffonniere table. Late 18th century. It is made of solid cherry, mahogany veneer and burled mahogany as well as ebony fillets. It opens with three drawers decorated with brass quarter rounds. The sides and back of the piece of furniture are also decorated with quarter rounds. It rests on four tapered legs ending in sabots and casters. The legs are joined by a spacer tablet. The top is in Turquin blue marble surrounded by a bronze gallery. The three locks are original and functional, equipped with two keys.
