Escalier De Cristal, Table Rognon De Style Louis XVI Estampillée

Circa 1900

Delightful Louis XVI style Rognon table in mahogany and rosewood veneer, standing on skid feet.

This table has partially flared uprights, joined by a crotch shelf and a spacer shelf. Its Rognon-shaped top is encircled by a gilded brass openwork gallery, as is its crotch shelf. Nice dimensions. Stamped under its Spacer. Beautiful wood, beautiful patina.

Belle Facture Parisian furniture, Fire-marked by the famous Parisian firm, Escalier de Cristal (1804 - 1923), created by Marie Désarnaud, located at the Palais Royal. Gold medal at the 1819 Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie Française. Gold medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris.
