Serving table stamped "Majorelle Nancy" on its top.
Louis Jean Sylvestre (known as Louis) Majorelle was a French cabinetmaker and decorator, heir to the Art Nouveau movement, inspired by curved lines and biomorphism.
This table features a rectangular top in ebony veneer, with a slightly molded edge, adorned with an oval motif in various woods and mother-of-pearl.
The slender projecting belt, softened at the edges, is joined by four rounded legs tapering towards the bottom and ending in wooden shoes.
This piece also features a second shelf in the upper third.
The underside of these shelves is counterbalanced in walnut veneer to prevent warping over time.
This side table will seduce you with its charm, dimensionality and precious wood species.
