A beautiful Transitional display cabinet, rare for its quality workmanship in solid cherry wood, without veneer, which will bring longevity to this one.
The cabinet features a mitered door frame with a scalloped bronze molding on the inside. The door is darkened with glass and opens on brass hinges. The original lock and key are in working order, and the long bronze escutcheon highlights the keyway. The solid cherrywood uprights are slightly rounded and end at the bottom with a sabot foot with a slight bronze-decorated humpback movement and a sabot. The upper part is adorned with a bronze ribbon and chute.
The top crosspiece of this display case is trimmed with an openwork brass element featuring repeating motifs of stylized flowers.
The sides of this cabinet feature the same composition as the front: a glass pane, a bronze rod and a solid cherrywood frame.
At the top, we find a beautiful orange Varois pink marble, surrounded by an openwork, scalloped gallery.
The interior is upholstered in original shimmering green velvet in excellent condition.
