This small rosewood display case opens at the top into a glass door with a mitered amaranth frame, highlighted by a fillet and a composition of lemon and dark wood.
This door, opening on offset pivots, is fitted with an original functional lock with key and bronze escutcheon.
Underneath, a small framed shelf is upholstered in black imitation leather.
The lower part, in rosewood veneer, butterfly-winged and decorated with the same fillet compositions, features a flowery jardinière marquetry.
The uprights, in horizontal veneers of similar species with gilded bronze falls featuring Corinthian capitals, end in bronze sabots.
The delicately carved crosspiece features a cul-de-lampe with acanthus leaves and scrolls.
The sides are glazed at the top and panelled at the bottom.
The piece is topped with a grooved Breche d'Alep marble.
The interior features a fixed shelf at the top and bottom.
