Small display case in Blond Walnut, Napoleon III period - 19th century

Small display case in Blond Walnut veneer, with rounded lines: curved front and sides.
The top is a Griotte marble with a dominant red color, embedded in a molded wooden frame. The whole is cut according to the curves of the furniture.
This display cabinet opens with a 7 cm deep drawer, hidden in the belt but nevertheless decorated with carved garlands in the lower part that continue on the sides.
Underneath, this piece of furniture offers two doors with Medallion glass, with contours highlighted by a curved rod and top and bottom ornaments. They lock and the one on the right is equipped with a brass lock over its entire height. These doors reveal an interior in mahogany with two shelves, each with a maximum width of 30 cm.
The uprights are carved with juts on the upper part, then with cut sides decorated with leafy falls.
This showcase ends with a molded and curved plinth, resting on two front legs decorated with scrolls and two straight back legs. In the center of the bottom rail, there is a carved decoration reminiscent of those described above.
The color and the essence of the wood, associated with the warm color of the marble, contribute to the charm of this Napoleonic showcase.
