Mahogany sideboard - Late 19th century

Mahogany and mahogany veneer sideboard with a display case in the upper part and blackened wood moldings.
This set is composed of two removable elements. In the lower part, there are two drawers in the belt that close with a lock and a central key that can be pulled out with a knob. Underneath, two rectangular doors with original brass lock in working condition, reveal an adjustable shelf on a rack. The mahogany and vertical grain mahogany veneer door fronts feature a molded blackened wood frame in relief with top and bottom basket handles and concave corners.
This low element rests on two turned front legs and rectangular back legs. The whole resting on a base with plinth positioned on turned legs. Around it we notice a black varnish molding.
The top of this low element in mahogany wire also presents in its entourage a moulding with throat and beak of corbin in black varnish. Backwards on the length and depth we find a decorated set consisting of a part with a glass door accompanied by molding identical to the bottom resting on two balusters in solid mahogany. We note the presence of an adjustable shelf on racks. On each side of the display case we find a shelf in the back and a large console with a blackened wood spiral molding. At the top of this display case, a removable pediment decorated with volutes and a crown of fruit.
The back of this piece of furniture is in oak.
With its atypical blackened moldings, this sideboard is a rare piece of furniture that will delight you with its exceptional mahogany essence.
