Elegant Library, Louis XV style, opening with two Mahogany veneer doors, glazed on three quarters of their surfaces. The latter consist in the lower part of full panels skillfully curved, embellished with vegetable marquetry on a rosewood background. These doors have finely chiseled brass locks, and the right one has a long lock with top and bottom hooks. The cabinet is supplied with its key. The interior, in Mahogany, is furnished with four shelves 31 cm deep, placed on racks and therefore adjustable as desired over a total storage height of 168 cm, insofar as the cleats are unscrewed.
This Library is topped with a Cornice in solid Rosewood, cut in Chapeau de Gendarme, and itself crowned with a generous Bronze shaped in Shell, flowers and foliage. It overlooks an inlaid floral decoration framed by a lemon tree net, reminiscent of the one present on the low scalloped cross member.
The front pillars are, at the top as at the bottom, enriched with bronze ornaments, and the four feet are embellished with clogs of the same alloy.
The ribs of this piece of furniture take a design similar to that of the facade, namely panels in Rosewood Veneer delimited by Lemon tree fillets and Mahogany Veneered surrounds.
Note the omnipresence of brass rods, more or less elaborate, emphasizing with finesse certain elements of this piece of furniture, such as its cornice, its lower part, its front uprights, or the various components of its doors. It will also be specified that each of the ornaments of this piece of furniture is, in addition to Quality, fixed by screws.
The reasonable dimensions of this Library give it interesting housing and adaptability to even small surfaces. But it is undoubtedly its paradoxical Refined Character that will end up charming its future buyer.
