Large chestnut bookcase with two parts. The top opens to reveal four doors, each with two panes of glass with molded surrounds. These doors are separated by fluted wood jambs and feature round metal entrances with key and functional lock. Opening the doors reveals three adjustable shelves on racks. The whole unit is crowned by a molded cornice. The lower body, deeper and less high, has a similar structure, but features solid doors. These open onto a shelf. This very roomy piece of furniture rests on a molded plinth.
