    This important solid walnut bookcase opens with two wide mitered doors with horizontal bars, for a total of three panes of glass.
    The doors are fitted with a half-round joint cover, an original lock, two chased round brass escutcheons and a fitted key.
    The cabinet also features two protruding drawers in vertical veneer, grooved and forming a plinth.
    The drawers open through notches underneath, and are covered with false escutcheons.
    The uprights are soberly rounded.
    The sides are composed of a single panel each.
    The cornice is concave underneath, with a square ending in a slight molding.
    The interior features five adjustable, rack-mounted shelves with sloping edges.
    While its dimensions are without doubt the strong point of this estate bookcase, you'll also be won over by the warm hue of its walnut.
