Important Louis XVI Period Mahogany Chateau Bookcase

Circa 1780

Important and Splendid Chateau Bookcase, in Molded Mahogany from the Louis XVI period, opening with six glazed doors on the front, three on the top and three on the bottom. Glazed frames in gilded brass.

This Bookcase rests on fluted Pilaster Mounts. It is adorned with a Grey-veined White Mabre top at support height. At the top, these doors reveal twelve staircases. At the bottom, they reveal three shelves. All Height Adjustable, Rack and Pinion System. Original glass. Six Keys.

Rare Chateau Furniture with Sober and Elegant Lines, of Great Manufacturing Quality. Superb proportions.
