Superb 18th century English mahogany bookcase in Hepplewhite style and period circa 1775
Very beautiful English work in mahogany which is distinguished by its very good quality and its period. Indeed, it is rare to find an 18th century library from the Hepplewhite period. The two round macaroons on its doors are typical of this period.
The doors are decorated with two round macaroon macaroons, small lemon tree fillets and a walnut inlay encircling the macaroons.
The library is in three parts. The lower part, the glass part and the cornice.
The upper and lower doors are decorated with a brass rod
The upper glass doors are decorated with wooden strips called astragal glazed doors
Original shelves with walnut veneer
It is possible to adjust the height of the shelves
Very beautiful patina and in superb condition.
