Louis XV library in rosewood veneer and light wood marquetry, adorned with ormolu trim. This two-unit piece features a top section with two curved glass doors trimmed with gilded bronze inlays. The joint cover and entrances are also in chased bronze. The lock is in perfect working order and comes with its own key. The rosewood is arranged diagonally. The cabinet has a pediment in the shape of a gendarme hat. A two-part floral marquetry features foliage, foliage scrolls and flowers. On the uprights, large bronze trimmings depict a smiling face with shell and volutes. A large bronze trim featuring a shell surrounded by foliage is positioned in relief on the molded cornice. The lower part of the cabinet features two paneled doors with a central composition of musical instruments, a musical score and flowers. This marquetry is surrounded by bronze baguettes. There are falls on the uprights and the small curved feet are protected by gilded bronze sabots.
The interior is fitted with adjustable shelves on racks.
The sides are richly ornamented with light and stained wood marquetry, bronze baguettes and diagonal rosewood veneer.
