Set of game table and pair of chairs from the old Bressuirais (France) Paul Michel workshops.
The table, square, in black lacquered wood, offers a chessboard composed of squares in sycamore and mahogany. It is underlined by a net of amaranth, and by a frame in burr elm. It is removable, and conceals a felted compartment to store game pieces, including the set of wooden chess pieces provided in this set. The mitered top of this table has its underside beveled inward. It rests on a U-shaped structure composed of two side pieces and a beveled base.
This table is sold with its two chairs in black lacquered wood, with a rectangular structure and narrow backs. The seats are covered with a fabric patterned with flowers on a beige brown background.
We will remember the pure design of this signed set, ideal for convivial moments around games.
