Its Breche d'Alep marble top is rounded at the front corners and groove-molded.
It opens with a drawer in the waistband and another halfway up, both locking and marked on the edge 'A. LEMESLE'.
It also opens with a flap inlaid with butterfly wings at the top, leading to a tabernacle comprising a large niche and two small drawers with knobs. The inside of the flap is lined with green leather and decorated with a central gilded motif and frieze.
Finally, at the bottom, it opens with two small inlaid butterfly-wing doors that lock and an interior hook, leading to an interior consisting of a shelf on fixed cleats.
The marquetry is framed with stained wood and lemon wood fillets.
The sides are inlaid with ferns and the back is panelled. The sides, drawer bottoms and back are in Oak.
