Small secretary in Louis XIV style, in various wood marquetry on a background of rosewood veneer.
Its top is a Marble of the Pyrenees predominantly Salmon, cut in Bec de Corbin on its rim. Its front angles are rounded, as are the uprights inlaid with friezes that they overlook.
This secretary opens in a belt with a flap revealing a niche with a high scalloped cross member, as well as three small drawers. These are decorated with facades of lemon tree fillets forming frames, inlays that will be found on the sides of this piece of furniture. The working area is covered with current Red leather, embellished with a central Vignette, corner florets and, on the borders, golden friezes and on a hard background.
In addition, this piece of furniture is provided with four large drawers of identical size, one above the writing table, the other three below.
The five doors of this pretty secretary are equipped with a cut-out bronze keyhole and its respective current key. They feature delicate marquetry facades in various shades, essentially representing decorations of flowers, leaves and volutes, made with finesse.
We will also appreciate on this Secretary the Chutes in wrought bronze which garnish the ends of the uprights, as well as the plinth on which it rests. This is cut to form two rounded feet at the front, two narrower feet at the back.
The interior and the back of the drawers are in Oak.
