Elegant secrétaire d'apparat from the Louis XV - TRANSITION period, 18th century,
Amaranth veneer, rosewood in the frames, lemon wood and stained wood,
Stamped varnish.
It features:
→ on the front in the upper part on the flap a decoration with attributes of music , in the lower part on each door a decoration of cassolettes of flowers ,
→ on each side a rich floral decoration.
It opens with :
→ A flap where we discover an interior composed of a shelf, two lockers, six small drawers, three on each side separated by a locker and a writing-desk table covered with original black leather,
→ In the lower part opening with two doors an interior composed of two shelves, one of which compartmentalized into two.
The uprights are canted.
Capped with gray-white Aleppo marble.
Note a trace of the JE stamp on the top jamb.
Beautiful 18th century Parisian work.
