Rosewood desk with iron stamping on the back.
It opens at the waist with a drawer, veneered with butterfly wings and fitted with pearled ring handles with mascaron.
Below, the flap, veneered in developed wood, is fitted with an original lock with scroll escutcheon and key.
When open, the compass-mounted flap is darkened with brown leather with spandrels, vignettes and cold pattern.
The interior, also in rosewood, features six small drawers with chased lens knobs, a central space and a fixed shelf.
The lower part of the cabinet features a double door, inlaid in the same spirit, with authentic lock, escutcheon and key.
The lamp base is adorned with a bronze acanthus leaf motif and soup tureen.
The front jambs, partly molded and highlighted by bronze falls with rosette and acanthus leaf motifs, are flanked by humped feet with openwork clogs.
The whole piece is topped with a grooved marble top.
